The Turtle

Inspired by a recent article in WR News, Edition 4–6 (“Deep Sea Rescue,” September 3, 2010), the class decided to release our class pet, The Turtle.

That is his name: first name The, last name Turtle.

Reading along with the digital edition online, we learned about all the work that goes into rehabilitating the sea turtles and went to the linked website, seaturtles.org.  Deciding that after a year, the time was right, we returned The Turtle to his home in our outdoor classroom and videotaped the event on our Flip camera.  The video was shot and edited by my students.
